On many weekends of the year there are public events which I make an effort to attend when possible. This past weekend, I was very pleased to attend two ceremonial reviews for local cadet organizations. On Saturday it was the Navy League and Sea Cadet Annual Ceremonial Review for J.P. Bell cadets at the Navy League Training Centre on Fifth Street. Then on Sunday it was the Annual Ceremonial Review for 205 Collishaw Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron at the Nanaimo Flying Club. In both cases I was extremely impressed with the enthusiasm and pride that was evident as cadets demonstrated skills and teamwork. My congratulations go to all officers, staff, volunteers, and cadets who were involved. And also to the dedicated parents who make it possible for their sons or daughters to attend and take part in these worthwhile programs.
