September 26, 2022 - It was a pleasure last Thursday evening to take part in the Candidate Meet and Greet session hosted by the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce.
There as a good turn-out at the Beban Park auditorium, with residents able to move around the room and talk to candidates for Mayor, Councillor, and School Board positions. Our democratic process is so important, and it hinges on a public which is interested and informed about issues and candidates. So I thank all those who took part, and I certainly enjoyed the conversations I had with attendees. I will be addressing some of the specific concerns I heard about in future blog posts on this site.
